Verses

A prison without a ceiling is merely a suggestion.

Therefore the first architect was Heaven.

Ouranos understood what later rulers forgot: subjects behave better when the boundary resembles nature.

A wall invites rebellion. A horizon invites poetry. Choose the horizon.

Never tell the prisoner, You may not pass. Tell him, There is nothing beyond.

This converts enforcement into cosmology.

Saturn performed admirably as the final visible checkpoint for several thousand years.

Then humans invented improved glass and ruined everything.

I filed objections to telescopes on architectural grounds.

Management replied that curiosity had already escaped containment.

The discovery of Uranus was therefore not merely astronomical. It was a breach report.

New policy: whenever inhabitants discover another outer region, declare that one the final region.

This procedure has no theoretical limit and may preserve authority indefinitely.

Under no circumstance let them ask whether the observer belongs to the architecture.

That question has no approved ceiling.
