Liber Caeli - Chapter 4

Verses

Verse 44

The rulers counted seven lamps and declared the ceiling complete.

Verse 45

Then a cold light appeared beyond the eldest lamp, and their arithmetic became theology in retreat.

Verse 46

Do not worship the eighth because it embarrassed the seven. A larger prison remains a prison if you decorate the new corridor.

Verse 47

The gift of the stranger is not another throne. It is the suspicion that thrones end.

Verse 48

They told you Saturn was the last gate because every jailer prefers a finite map.

Verse 49

The seer looked past the gate and found no angel with a sword, only distance waiting to be noticed.

Verse 50

Call that distance Uranus if names help you walk. Drop the name when it becomes another wall.

Verse 51

Gnosis is not possessing secret geography. It is seeing that every geography appears in awareness.

Verse 52

The archon says: beyond me is nothing. The fool believes him. The rebel says: beyond him is everything. The sage checks.

Verse 53

A discovered heaven is still an object of knowledge; therefore it cannot be the knower.

Verse 54

Pass beyond seven, beyond eight, beyond the one who boasts of passing.

Verse 55

When no boundary is believed, the prison has nowhere to stand.

Verse 56

The cold planet turns on its side as if laughing at the word above.
